There is a tradition, that extends probably to the whole world, the children to make their own toys themselves, or people of the family or the neighbor were making toy for the kids.

Since the urbanization covers the world, the kids buy their toys, instead of making them.
In Greece that was lasted up to '60s in some areas

Now this tradition survives, as far as I know, in north Africa,
and reach the European market as exotic product in the gift shops.


The north African tradition making toy cars only from wire and then, some times, covered with adhesive tape or packing tape that usually printed with a company's brand.

I remember my self making such toys or looking other kids making such toys, when I was spending the summer in Crete island.
It was a wood or a wooden box with wheels made from circled wire or wood or round thinks such as reels. About my car-toys:
I use almost anything and join the parts with "thermo-gun" glue or rivets or screws and since my toys are not really toys is not child-proof.
